Public Safety Power Shutdown Update - Schools are open Friday.
Posted 10/10/19

UPDATE: October 10, 2019   3:50 PM

Dear Staff and Parents,

Based on the most recent information we have from PG&E regarding the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), all Moraga schools will be open tomorrow, Friday, October 11. As of 3:30 p.m. today, PG&E crews are inspecting lines with the goal of restoring power as early as this evening.   Schools will be open whether or not there is power.

If there is not power: Per visits I made to all schools today, I again want to reassure you that our schools will continue to be safe and fully staffed.  The safety of our students and staff remains our first priority.

While hot lunch may be available on Friday, it is recommended you send your children to school with a brown bag lunch. Childcare programs will be open and following normal hours of operation.  The Lamorinda School Bus Transportation Agency will run school buses; however, riders should anticipate delays.

If your child has a medication on campus that requires refrigeration, please work with your school office staff to make arrangements for your child.

If your family must contact a school or the District Office on Friday, please use the following landline school contact numbers:

· Camino Pablo School (925) 377-2082

· Donald Rheem School (925) 376--2086

· Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School (925) 376-7206
