Students not registered by 4/14 will not be added to the track list for spring 2023. The cutoff was posted, emailed and is final.

We need parent volunteers to help Coach Bob. Track experience would be very helpful, but not required.
Track Field is approximately six weeks long, beginning in April and finishing before the end of school The program will primarily be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The time on a practice day will be After School from 4pm-5pm. A meet day in which JM participants travel to another school may be as late as 8:00 PM. The meet typically begins at 4:00 PM and may run three to four hours depending on the number of participants and schools involved. If a parent is in attendance at the meet and his/her child’s events are completed, they are welcome to leave. In previous years there have been league meets at Benicia HS, Alhambra HS (Martinez), and Piedmont HS, and then grade level finals.
Events in Track Field include: 100 yard dash, 200 yard dash, 400 yard dash, 800 yard run and the mile. There are also grade/gender relays. Field events include the long jump, triple jump, high jump, and shot put. No javelin!
