Science 6 (full year class)

Sixth grade science focuses on Earth Science.  Students will learn and study about Plate Tectonics and Earth's Structure; Shaping Earth's Surface, Heat (Thermal Energy), Energy in the Earth System, Ecology, Resources, Investigation and Experimentation.

Science 7 (full year class)

The seventh grade science curriculum focuses on life science, including cell biology, genetics, an overview of living things and human body systems.  Health education is also a component of the 7th grade curriculum during the 3rd quarter.

Science 8 (full year class)

The eighth grade science curriculum focuses on physical science, including forces and motion, the properties of matter, and chemistry.  There is also a unit on astronomy in the spring semester. Techniques for doing research and for measuring, analyzing, and presenting data will continue to be emphasized.
